* Practice samples submitted by the deadline will be reviewed in the order in which they were received, and candidates with accepted practice samples will be scheduled for the upcoming examination, subject to space limitations. If more candidates have their samples accepted than space available, the candidates will be scheduled for the next examination.

Next Written Exams:

Beginning in 2012, the ABCN written exam will be administered electronically at Prometric Centers across North America. A candidate registers for this examination by filling out the appropriate form and forwarding it with the examination fee to ABPP central office at least one month prior to the examination. The exam will be taken at a Prometric center in or near the Candidates' home towns rather than by paper and pencil at the four major professional meetings (INS, AACN, APA, NAN). The written exam will be available at Prometric Centers during four 2-week time frames over the course of the year. The dates for 2012 are: March 1st to March 17th (Closed) June 1st to June 16th (Deadline to register: April 20, 2012) September 1st to September 15th (Deadline to register: July 21, 2012) December 1st to December 15th (Deadline to register: October 20, 2012)
