Upcoming Examination Schedule

Written Exams:
The ABCN written exam is administered electronically at Prometric Centers across North America in two-week windows, four times per year. A candidate registers for this examination through the ABPP website after being notified of passing the Credential Review process. The appropriate form and examination fee must be received by ABPP by the registration deadlines noted below. For further information, please review the Written Examination Instructions on the ABPP website.

The dates for taking the ABCN Written Examination are:

March 1-15, 2014 (Deadline has passed)**
May 31-June 14, 2014 (Deadline to register: April 25, 2014)**
August 30-September 13, 2014 (Deadline to register: July 25, 2014)
November 29-December 13, 2014 (Deadline to register: October 24, 2014)
**IMPORTANT NOTE: The current, 100-item format of the ABCN Written Examination (WE) will be administered for the last time during the March 2014 exam window. Beginning in May/June of 2014, the ABCN WE will incorporate 25 additional "pre-test" items beyond the core 100 test items.  The new pre-test items will provide important psychometric data to inform future editions of the exam, but will not count toward the final score. Exam scores will continue to be based on the core 100-item examination and the passing criterion cut-score will not change. To accomodate the increased length of the exam, candidates will receive increased seat time at Prometric centers.
